For this project you will need to obtain CD one of Debian. You can install this on basically any platform because it is coded in Java. We chose Debian because we felt Linux might throw a few more challenges towards us. I installed the basic version of Debian with the Graphical user interface and then followed a guide for installing OpenNMS on Ubuntu. I did this because the guide for Debian was very basic and was missing much of the information that was required for this lab. Below you will find a modified version of the guide so that you can install OpenNMS on Debian 4.0. It is complete and will work without a hitch as long as you get the repositories and packages mentioned. That is the biggest thing.

WEP Cracking

  
 
This project was something that I worked on in my senior year at Herkimer County Community College. This is a basic guide in cracking WEP. Oh and if you think of using this word for word for any of the projects at Herkimer, don’t worry they know about it.

For this project you will need to obtain a copy of either Backtrack 2 or Backtrack 3. This is not a requirement but it is the easiest way and complete package set up to do WEP cracking and many other things.
